Shiv Sena chief Sanjay Raut questioned Mumbai Police, who’re investigating Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case. His assertion did not go down nicely with BJP chief Ram Kadam.
Shiv Sena chief Sanjay Raut wrote an article in Saamna, the Shiv Sena get together mouthpiece, which has not gone down nicely with everybody. In the article, which is about actor Sushant Singh Rajput taking his personal life, Raut says, “Sushant embraced death in the grip of despair. Was the cause of his depression really commercial? This is not 100 per cent accurate.”
Raut lashed out at media and accused it of changing a dying right into a festival. “A film producer says that he knew that Sushant would commit suicide. What did he do to save him?” asks Raut, occurring so as to add, “When will the Sushant suicide trial be over? Cannot be said. After the death of Sushant, many people in the field broke their silence. But did this reveal the truth of the matter? It does not seem so. What is left to be investigated in this episode and what exactly is police investigating in this case? This actor was not working for some time. His mental state was not fit, in the same desperation of failure, he embraced death by hanging himself in his house at Bandra. But through this, the mafia and nepotism in Bollywood are out.”
However, Raut provides that there are numerous who wrestle in Bollywood daily. But to say that Rajput dedicated suicide due to a couple of individuals placing roadblocks for him, is just not proper. If this was true, then a minimum of two actors would commit suicide daily, says Raut.
According to Raut, Rajput had contracts with 6 producers when he dedicated suicide. Elaborating additional, Raut says that after making Thackeray, Bal Thackeray’s biopic, he was planning to make a biopic on George Fernandes. For this, out of the 2 names chosen, one was that of Rajput himself, based on Raut. After watching him in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Raut felt that Sushant was match for the function. But, Raut says, he was later ‘told’ that Sushant was affected by despair.
With all this, Raut claims that this can be a clear case of suicide. He then goes on to query the police investigation. He says, “Sushant had changed many psychiatrists but nothing helped him. He left no suicide note, but in spite of that people are being questioned for 11 hours. Why? Police has asked for Rajput’s contract with Yashraj Films. What evidence will they get from this? Many actresses with whom he was linked have been called by police. This was not needed at all.”
Raut says, “What will a psychiatrist do for a person who has lost the will to live? This entire experiment of psychiatrists was like the cacophony created by Baba Ramdev about his medicine to deal with corona. Indore’s Bhaiyuji Maharaj committed suicide. What did he lack in his life?”
Raut proclaims that psychiatrists are of no use. One has to wrestle with oneself to remain alive. With this, Raut factors on the suicides by others whose recordsdata have been closed by police inside 24 hours; whereas even after every week, Rajput’s file is just not being closed by the police.
BJP chief Ram Kadam reacted sharply to the article. Kadam mentioned, “Maharashtra’s Chief Minister and his spouse, who runs a paper, by way of Saamana, has been questioning the police over why they’re carrying on with the investigation. When the Chief Minister’s personal newspaper raises doubts over Mumbai Police’s work, places strain on them, then it is a easy message — simply eliminate the investigation. What is the explanation behind this newspaper pressuring the Mumbai Police?”
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, at his Bandra condo in Mumbai.
